Bedouins

It was. It is and will be

THE FUTURE

As i always have been fascinated by people living in the desert, surviving the heat, food, somewhat luxury, moving around through the sand. No digital nomads like wel call ourselves today but clamshell nokias, camels, stories…. That’s what i wanted to hear…

لطالما كنا المستقبل means we have always been the future. Their way of living was the first and will be the last.

ARAB WORLD

In Morocco I’ve met quite a few Touareg. Living and working in (bigger or smaller) cities during the summer to earn money by selling jewellery and thobes and returning around the autumn to their family in the dessert.

BEDOUIN

The printed images are based on one of the first photos that were ever taken from a Bedouin [probably Syrian]. I wanted the B/W image to mix with the super constrasted colors.
